Help… I’m New Here

Throughout the service, we’ll sing some songs to God and about God. This is a time to reflect on God’s goodness and grace.
We include an offering as part of our worship to allow those who have committed their lives to Christ the opportunity to thank God for His many blessings and to financially support the work of the church. As our guests, please do not feel an obligation to give, but if you wish to join us in this act of worship, you are welcome to do so.
Jesus instituted this memorial as a time to reflect on the price He paid for our sins…death on a cross. Each week, believers are invited to take the bread and the juice as they are passed or in unison as directed by the leader and spend time in prayer, reflecting on God’s love and grace and examining their relationship with Christ. In the Church of Christ we practice open communion. You don’t have to be a member of this congregation to participate.
Our minister will give a practical message about applying Biblical truths to life’s challenges.
If you would like to make a decision for Christ and/or church membership, we invite you to come forward during the invitation song at the end of the message. We will be more than happy to talk to you about your decision. If you prefer a more private setting, you may call the church office.
Becoming a Christian involves believing that Jesus is God’s son and that He died on the cross and rose from the grave to offer forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life; confessing that belief to others; repenting or turning away from sin and living for God; and being baptized in water (we practice baptism by immersion under water which was the Biblical practice). If you have already taken each of these steps and would like to partner with First Church of Christ in membership, then you can do that by simply confessing your faith in Christ.
Attention parents of young children-for your convenience, we offer a nursery/children’s ministry program for children 0-2 and preschool age. The rooms are located on the first floor past the steps to the left. The children’s ministry room is the first room on the right (lime green door), and the nursery is the last room on the right (purple door).
